Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball
April 18th, 2011 | Golf Ball Driver, golf balls, Product Review
The Titleist Pro V1 golf ball has been around for nearly nine years since it debuted in 2000 on October 11, and yet it is still the top ball in the game of golf. This top of the line golf franchise has proved that the Titleist Pro V1 is not going anywhere anytime soon. More than 43% of all the prize money won in on-course golf in 2005 was spent on Titleist Pro V1 and Titleist Pro V1x model golf balls. Since March of 2001, the Titleist name has maintained itself as the top golf ball purchase and the best selling ball in the world.
Every year, the company that releases the Titleist Pro V1 has worked hard to make improvements, but the Titleist Pro V1 is still an oldie but goodie in my books. 2009 is no different when it comes to new models and the great things that Titleist is attempting to do for golf. This year we have the Titleist Pro VI and the Titleist Pro VIx, the first which has a three piece construction with multi layers designed for durability, performance and an increase in distance. The second has a dual core, four piece construction that is designed to increase your distance while decreasing your spin. According to Titleist, these balls are longer than their predecessors, but still similar.
The Titleist Pro brand has strong sales figures every single year. The reviews for these balls are already favorable, but this is the norm when you consider how popular their predecessors have been. Most golf players will never switch brands at this point, they only switches balls within the Titleist Pro brand name because the golf balls simply keep getting better and more serious. It has become clear already that the Titleist Pro VI and Titleist Pro V1x are making waves in some of the most major golf tournaments in the world including the European Tour, the PGA Tour, the Japanese Tour, the Asian Tour, the Nationwide Tour and the LPGA Tour.
Here are some of the premiere golfers in the world that are teeing up using the Titleist Pro V1 golf balls: Lee Westwood, Mike Weir, Camilo Villegas, David Toms, Steve Stricker, Adam Scott, Ian Poulter, Kenny Perry, Geoff Ogilvy, Rory McIlroy, Hunter Mahan, Davis Love III, Robert Karlsson, Zach Johnson, J.B. Holmes, Padraig Harrington, Ross Fisher, Chad Campbell and Angel Cabrera.
What does this say for the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball? It means that so far, Titleist has racked up a total of 76 worldwide golf wins in 2009 alone. What does this tell you about the Titleist brand? That it is one that you can definitely count on for many years to come.
