About the Course:
This is a stellar, championship level golf course that has become a favorite of many travelers as well as local residents. This course is considered to have the best greens and fairways in all of Southern California and it’s no wonder that it is such a popular course.
What You Need to Know:
This course does have a dress code, and they do ask that all visitors observe it. Men are asked to wear golf slacks, or shorts. Golf shirts with collars and sleeves are considered appropriate. For women, golf shorts, skirts and slacks are allowed, and sleeved golf shirts are recommended. This is a soft spike facility, so please remember to change out any metal spikes before you arrive. Women golfers are allowed to wear tennis shoes, but not men.
You can register your tee time by calling the number above, and they also feature the ability to register online. Numerous specials and free rounds of golf are offered on their site, so it is best to check there before booking your time.
The bar and grill is open seven days a week and the service and food are excellent. The pro-shop was very well stocked and we found that all of the facilities were definitely top-notch. The amenities are private quality, but it’s great that the course is open to the public.
Playing Hints:
This may be a championship level course, but novices should still be able to have an enjoyable round of golf. The greens are probably the hardest part of the course, and we highly recommend taking advantage of the 4000 square foot practice green before you head out. This will give you a good idea of what you’ll be dealing with later on the course.
A few of the holes here are very tough and you’ll need to really work on your accuracy in order to get par. It may take a few rounds here to master the course, but it’s well worth the effort and the views are fantastic.
Our favorite hole was the sixth, which is a long par five. You’ll need to stay towards the center of the fairway on this hole, and it’s a lot harder than it looks. Your approach shot will need to be strong in order to get in a good position on the green, which is a tough one.
