Course History:
This is an incredibly fun course to play and is challenging enough for pros while still being enjoyable for novices. The greens average around 5,000 sq feet, so get your putting practice in now. At the end of your round, you can relax in the enormous 12,000 sq foot lodge. The all glass façade offers a terrific view of the 18th green and the surrounding fairways.
Construction of the course began in 1933 as a way to help locals get work during the Great Depression. It has been popular ever since and from the 1960’s on the course has averaged around 100,000 rounds played per year. The course was recently renovated and renamed to Poplar Creek in honor of the eponymous creek that flows through the course.
