Event: The PGA Assistant Championship is coming up as part of the PGA Golf Club – Slated to be held at the Wanamaker Golf Course in Port St. Lucie in Florida between October 1 and October 4, 2009.
The LOW PGA Club Professional at the 91st PGA Championship Qualifying.
Greg Bisconti, who is a PGA assistant professional from St. Andrew's Golf Club which is located in Hastings on Hudson in New York earned a Low PGA Club Professional honor during the 91st PGA Championship which was held in August. He shared this spotlight with the PGA Champion Y.E. Yang during the ceremony onto the 18th green.
It was Bisconti's third ever overall PGA Championship appearance, and it was his first appearance since 2007. It was the first time that he had actually managed to make a 36 hole cut. He managed to finish a total of two strokes better than the Oakmont Country Club professional, who is Grant Sturgeon and who comes from Ambler, Pennsylvania.
He has definitely continued to play in a stellar manner this year, especially after having qualified himself for the 2009 Callaway PGA Assistant Championship after taking a second place finish during the Metropolitan PGA Championship during last week. His best finish so far during the PGA Assistant Championship was a tie for the fifth place back in the year 2000. Although there has been plenty of play from him since then, it has taken him some time to climb bank up in the ranks to the point where he is currently at.
There is not much time remaining now until we get to the 33rd edition of Callaway Golf's PGA Assistant Championship, which is returning to the PGA Golf Club which is located in Port St. Lucie in Florida. This is the 14th consecutive year that the PGA Golf Club has played home to the Callaway Golf's PGA Assistant Championship. The field consists of 120 men, and it will consist of the Assistant Champion from every one of the 41 different PGA sections, the section qualifiers and also the defending champion, who is Kyle Voska who hails from Cincinnati in Ohio.
The Callaway Golf's PGA Assistant Championship is slated to be held between October 1 and October 4, this year in 2009.
The winner walking away from the Callaway Golf's PGA Assistant Championship is going to collect $9,000 out of the $100,000 purse. The champion, assuming that he is eligabloe, will also win a berth during the 43rd annual PGA Professional Nationals, which are going to be held at the French Lick Resort in Indiana between June 27 and June 30 next year in 2010.
