I am not normally one for celebrity gossip, but for some reason (I played basketball in college?) this story has my attention...

From Stanford Secrets (Wie-Lopez):
A guest contributer[sic] provided us with the following picture of Robin and Michelle canoodling at the Athlete Date Auction. We also heard that Michelle bought the men's volleyball team without Robin's consent, spurring a small outburst of jealousy. We, however, believe that Robin and Michelle's relationship is still on firm grounds as the volleyball team, though tall and athletic, could not physically match up to Robin's "height".
From Korea Times (Michelle Wie Dating College Big Man):
Korean-American golfer Michelle Wie might have lost some heat on the professional field, but is still basking in the spotlight as a college freshman celebrity. It's even more so when it's about romance as a teenager.
Wie, 18, is currently dating Robin Lopez, her Stanford coed and a promising college basketball player, CNNSI reported last week.
Stanfordsecret.com, a gossip Web site at Stanford, recently posted a photo of Wie and Lopez at a campus auction event. At the auction, Wie purportedly bought the men's volleyball team without Lopez's consent and ``spurred a small outburst of jealousy,'' the site said.
``We, however, believe that Robin and Michelle's relationship is still on firm grounds as the volleyball team, though tall and athletic, could not physically match up to Robin's 'height.'''
Lopez, a 214-centimeter sophomore center and one year senior to Wie, leads the Stanford Cardinal with his twin brother Brook, and contributed to his team heading into the Sweet 16 at this year's NCAA ``Mad March'' tournament for the first time in seven years.
Despite fulfillment in her private life, Wie, once dubbed a whiz-kid with potential to lead the whole LPGA scene, is staggering in her professional career. Last week, She withdrew from the Safeway International after suffering an injury to her left wrist during practice the previous week.
Wie has played one tournament this season, only to end up lagging a disappointing 20 strokes behind winner Paula Creamer at last month's Fields Open in Hawaii. Last year, She played in eight tournaments, making the cut in only three with 19th being her best finish at the Samsung World Championship in October.
