Left Handed Golf Tips

Even left handed golfers often find themselves in need of some assistance with improving their game. Here are some quick and basic tips that will help you get your golf game on track and will allow you to significantly lower your scores in the process.

One of the biggest mistakes that many left handed golfers fall into is actually rather common:

They attempt to golf the same way that a right handed golfer would! This sounds far fetched, but it's true and actually easy to understand. When most people learn how to play golf for the first time, they do so by borrowing clubs from a friend, and they start trying to emulate the golfers that they know or those that they see on television. Unfortunately, when you are golfing with clubs intended for a right handed player, and when you are golfing by following the visual cues from a right handed golfer, you can make the mistake of playing using the right dominant hand when you are left handed by nature.

There are a large number of left handed golfers that will eventually move on to purchase golf clubs intended for them.

Again though, there are a number of golfers that will play using right handed clubs simply because they have been utilizing them for so long and do not feel like learning how to play over again using clubs that are better suited for them.

Left handed players will never be as good as they could have been using right handed clubs.

Playing without proper clubs is going to prevent them from being as proficient on the links as they could have been. When searching for left handed golf tips, it has already become apparent that the most important left handed golf tip of all is to play with the right clubs if you want to get the most out of your natural swing.

If you cannot currently buy a set of left handed clubs, wait rather than simply buying a set of the wrong clubs.

If you buy clubs that are not meant for you, your golf swing will suffer. Try shopping at a larger pro shop to find a bigger selection, and choose the clubs that will actually benefit your swing by choosing clubs that are intended for a left handed golfer.

Another option for finding left handed golf clubs, if you cannot find them in your local area, is that you can purchase your golf clubs online or by going through a mail order catalog. There are a variety of reputable online and catalog based pro shops to choose from, and many will offer excellent advice on choosing the clubs that will best suit your style of play and your golf swing. If you want to get the most out of the set of clubs you buy, shop around and choose the right ones for your left handed golf swing.
