Golfing Profile for Christina Kim (LPGA)

christinakimChristina Kim was born on March 15, 1984 in San Jose, California, and is a Korean American professional golfer who currently plays on the LPGA Tour in the United States. Christina Kim is well known for her animated style of play, her vocal style of play, her flamboyant style of dress and the fact that she often wears Kangol berets. She won the 2004 Longs Drug Challenge as well as the 2005 Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions, which helped her launch her career. She was also a member of the Solheim Cup team in America in 2005. In 2004, she was named the youngest player to reach $1 million dollars in earnings, but this record was broken a year later by Paula Creamer in 2005.

Christina Kim has been participating less in the 2008 golf season, though she had a good finish in 2007, with a total career earning of $2,455,002. She has made 4 total LPGA holes in one. Her best finish in 2007 was second at the LPGA State Farm Classic, where she carded a season low of 66 both in the second round and the final round. She also went on to finish tied for second place at the Safeway Classic, which was presented by Pepsi. She carded a season low 66 at the final round of the Mitchell Company LPGA tournament of championships, where she finished in tenth place.
