The traditional white wedding theme is out, in favor of unique and unusual wedding themes. One such example of a popular wedding theme for modern weddings is a golf wedding theme. If you are planning on a golf wedding theme, then you should know that there are a myriad of little touches that you can add in order to tie golf in to the theme. Consider using golf themed party favors, golf themed decorations and center pieces and even golf themed gifts for the wedding party in order to add a really unique touch to your special event. While adding golf themed items to your wedding is especially important, it is vital that you do not overdo it.
The first thing that you are going to want to think about when it comes to planning your golf themed wedding is figuring out what wedding decorations you need. One excellent touch to add to each of the tables of your wedding reception is golf themed centerpieces, such as a large glass bowl filled with personalized golf balls, which can bear the name of the bride and the groom with a date of the wedding. Once the wedding reception has ended, then, your guests can take the golf balls home as souvenirs to help them remember your special day. You could also use personalized golf balls or golf tees for place holders, letting guests know where to sit.
Guest favors are another element of your golf themed wedding that you can add a nice golf twist to. You may want to replace traditional candy coated almonds in pretty bags with something golf themed, like personalized golf balls and golf tees in netted bags. Another option is golf themed candy, which you can hand out to your guests. White chocolate golf balls and dark chocolate golf tees sounds like fun, doesn't it?
In addition to implementing a golf theme to your guest favors and your centerpieces, you can also add golf themed items to the gifts that you give your wedding party; including your bridesmaids and your groomsmen. For your groomsmen, golf themed cuff links or a pass for golf at a local course may be ideal. For the bridesmaids, golf themed cookie bouquets, or if they are interested in golf as well, a pass for instruction or a round at a local course may sound like fun.

You already both love the game of golf, so it shouldn't be too terribly difficult for you to come up with some good ideas for golf themed wedding gifts. Give your spouse something nice for your golf themed wedding and you will make it even more memorable and enjoyable which is what having a themed wedding is really all about.
