Ball Retriever - This is a pole that has a scoop or a net attached that is used in order to retrieve balls from difficult to reach areas such as water hazards for examples.
Banana Ball - This is a slice that is very bad, and the shape of the ball's path is reminiscent of a banana.
Baseball Grip - This is a grip where all ten of the player's fingers are on the shaft of the club, quite similar in nature to how a baseball player would grip the bat.
Beach - This is another name for a sand hazard.
Belt - This refers to hitting the ball with an extreme amount of power.
Bend - This is the curve that a shot experiences, or to hit a hook or a slice.
Bent Grass - This is the most common grass variety used on northern golf courses.
Bermuda Grass - This is the most common grass variety used on southern golf courses.
Best Ball - This describes a match where the best score between two or more different partners is the score for a particular hole.
Birdie - This is the score when you get one stroke below par on a particular hole.
Bird's Nest - This is an unfortunate lie, where the ball has been cupped deeply in the grass such as an egg would be within a nest.
Birds - This is a method of competition where one point is awarded for birdie shots and two points for eagles on any hole.
Bisque - This is a handicap stroke that you can take on any hole as long as you announce your intention before you tee off at that hole.
Bite - This is another word for backspin.
Blade - This is the part of an iron's club head that hits the ball.
Blade Putter - This is a putter that has an iron head that is quite similar in nature to the numbered irons.
Blast - This is a shot that is made from a sand trap, when it takes a lot of sand with it.
Blind Bogey - This is a competition where the score is drawn from a hit, and then the winning player is whichever player comes the closest to actually matching it.
Blind Hole - This is a hole where the putting green is incapable of being seen as the player begins to approach it.
Block - This means hitting a slice by delaying the wrists' rotation, which forces the clubhead to become arched from the inside to the outside at the point of impact.
Bogey - This is a score that is one over par for that particular hole.
