Course History:
This Par 71 course was first opened in 1963. It was first designed by Bob Baldock and then later redesigned by Robert Muir Graves. There are numerous clubs in the area for residents, but visitors are always welcome on the course.
What You Need to Know:
The course offers numerous training packages and clinics for golfers of all skill levels. Please see the rate schedule below for their private lesson costs. The pro shop on site is loaded with gear from all the best manufacturers and you can also shop online. The shop also features a price guarantee on all of their merchandise and has an incredible selection.
Please call ahead to reserve your tee time on the course. Although the course does not list any dress code, your best bet would be to stick with a collared shirt and slacks. It is best to wear soft spikes, although the course does not list their preference.
The course hosts an annual Mayor's Cup tournament that is widely attended and quite a bit of fun. We included the rates for this tournament below.
Playing Hints:
The third and fourth hole are by far the two most difficult holes on this course thanks to their water hazards. You'll need to make sure you don't overpower your shots on these short holes and end up in the drink. After that, you'll need to contend with hole seven, which is a complicated maze of water hazards, bunkers and a tricky approach. It's best to use your irons on this hole.
The sixth hole is one of the longest and features a nice big bunker right before the green. Keep this in mind when you're going for your second or third shot so you can have enough power to get past it without overshooting the mark and ending up in the trees.
