Course History:
This course was designed by Ted Robinson and you'll easily feel as though you've been transported into paradise the minute you arrive. By far, one of the most visually stunning golf courses we have ever seen. The course is semi-private, but the public is allowed to play at certain times. We highly recommend making the trip to this course, since there are few courses like this that are available in the United States.
What You Need to Know:
This course has a pretty strict dress code, so please stick with traditional attire. They will enforce it, and appreciate the public's adherence to the rules. Tee times can be reserved online, or by calling the number listed above. We found the staff to be very helpful and you can even get a glimpse of the great pro shop online before you get there. The grill is definitely worth the trip and had far above average food.
Playing Hints:
This is course is all about the challenge and you'll find some of the holes may be a bit difficult, but still very fun. The fairways are rolling and the bunkers are certainly deep. Water hazards are not plentiful here, but you'll have plenty on your hands without them.
Our favorite hole was the eleventh and it is a doozy. Out of all of the few water hazards on the course, this is the most difficult. You'll be hopping in between small patches of fairway while you try to avoid the lake. Stick to the left on this hole and try to be as accurate as possible. If you are a good driver, aim right for the hole across the lake so you can bypass all of these little steps.
