About the Course -
Trump National Golf Club was designed to be the absolute pinnacle of the luxury golf experience, offering unmatched levels of service, exclusive amenities, a well stocked pro shop, renowned restaurant dining and unbeatable panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Trump National Golf Club was designed and created by none other than Donald J. Trump, who is an avid golfer and believes in creating world class courses and clubs that combine exceptional service with a keen sense of luxury. The Trump National Golf Course and Club are located on the Palos Verdes Peninsula which is thirty minutes or so from the downtown section of Los Angeles. Being located on the peninsula so far away from the big city allows this luxury golf course to offer peace, quiet and true enjoyment that most golf courses simply cannot offer.
What You Need to Know -
The Trump National Golf Course has a strictly enforced dress code consisting of proper golf attire with collared shirts and no denim. Shorts should be just above the knee or longer. Trump National is also a "soft spikes only" facility, and no metal spikes or cleats are allowed on the course. Walk on space is available in most cases for single players, but reservations are not allowed for single players unless they can be booked in with a twosome or a threesome. Players seeking reservations should call the pro shop for more information. All rates and policies are subject to change without notice. Most up to date information can be found on the course's website.
Tips for Beginners -
This is a fairly straightforward course, with all pars under 5, and not many natural traps. This course does offer a few challenges, but it is an excellent course for beginners and more experienced golfers alike. There is plenty of gorgeous landscaping to marvel at, lots of natural habitats along the way, and no way to avoid the stunning panoramic views. Ball drops are provided on holes 5, 8, 10 and 13 for instances where tee shots find their way in the water or nearby habitats. It's also useful to know that there are four different sets of restrooms scattered throughout the course.
Fees -
From Monday to Thursday, the daily greens fee is $275, which drops down to $215 for the midday rate. The afternoon rate is $165, and the twilight rate is $145. There is also a sunset rate which is $75. Between Friday and Sunday, the daily greens fee is $375, with a $300 midday rate. The afternoon rate drops to $215, and the twilight rate is a mere $195. The sunset rate, once again, is only $75. The greens fees at the Trump National Golf Course include a golf cart equipped with GPS, practice balls, valet parking and locker room availability. When rates are above $300 they also include a commemorative gift pouch. There are also junior rates and replay rates available upon request.

The Scottish government has decided to approve the plans designed by Donald Trump to take a wild stretch of the Aberdeenshire coastline in the north east part of Scotland, and transform it into a 2.4 billion dollar golf resort. Trump, a billionaire businessman that is world renowned and resides in New York, stated that he was “deeply honoured” by the Scottish government's decision, which was brought after a local planning inquiry. While the details are still being worked out, the resort will have a thousand homes and holiday apartments, and a 450 bedroom hotel along with two golf courses, which Trump is known for designing and developing.
